Every morning, as soon as the sun peeks through my window, Mia the beagle is there—tail thumping against the bed frame, nose nudging my cheek. There’s no such thing as sleeping in with Mia around! Before I’ve even had my coffee, Mia is ready for her first adventure of the day: our ritual walk around the block, where every scent is a new story and every squirrel is (almost) catchable.
Breakfast is a hilarious affair. Mia insists on sitting beside me, ears perked and eyes sparkling with mischief, hoping for a stray toast crumb. Her favorite treat? A slice of banana—if I’m not quick, she’ll leap up and snatch it before it hits her bowl! That playful side is just so "her."
The rest of our day is a mix of cozy snuggles, impromptu zoomies across the living room, and the occasional mischievous moment (like the time Mia unrolled an entire toilet paper roll and paraded it through the hallway, tail wagging with pride). Through it all, Mia’s personality shines—curious, clever, and full of heart. She reminds me to find joy in the little things, whether it’s a wagging tail or a warm cuddle on a rainy afternoon.
